Oysters are repopulating the Miles River!

Miles River Oysters is on a mission to repopulate Maryland’s Miles River with oysters, hard-shell clams, soft-shell clams, and mussels. In addition to meeting industry demands in a renewable manner, this regenerative aquaculture farm will also transform the Chesapeake Bay’s water quality and wildlife.

Miles River Oysters currently has 10.4-acre on-bottom shellfish aquaculture lease with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

The harvested oysters will be sold in local establishments up and down the Eastern Shore as well as top restaurants and gourmet shops in major markets across the USA.

Dan’s family has been rooted in the Eastern Shore of Maryland for generations and he has a particular link to the Miles River: his great-grandfather was the keeper of the Hooper Strait Lighthouse which sits on the Miles River. Dan is using his expertise in regenerative agriculture, alternative finance, and property development to accomplish his lifelong dream of revitalizing the Miles River through sustainable aquaculture.

Stevie is pairing her prowess in the hospitality industry with her love of shellfish to open branded concepts that will showcase and sell Miles River Oyster products.
